Sleep

I’m afraid to sleep because I’m afraid to dream. Night is more frightening than day, because at night, as soon as I fall asleep, I’m alone. During the day, I talk. There is someone that answers. At night, in my dreams, no one answers. I’m always alone and I’m afraid. While I’m falling asleep, I already know what I will dream.

When I sleep, it is silent. The silence scares me cause it screams the truth. This is why I listen to music while falling asleep. Only when I am surrounded by my friends is when I do not have nightmares. But how can I sleep with my friends all the time? The silence is slowly killing me.

The past haunts me. My dreams are a vortex showing who I used to be. I am trapped in a different body, only it’s not someone else; it’s me. It is like watching a movie but you disagree with everything the main character does, and you can’t make them stop doing these malicious activities.

I’m afraid to sleep.
